　　江囌省首屆工業設計大賽是省內首個以政府名義設立的省級工業設計獎項。大賽以“設計改變制造”為主題，面向省內制造企業、設計企業、高校院所和個人，征集優秀工業設計產品(作品)。自今年3月正式啟動以來，共收到產品設計類參賽作品329件，創意類作品580件。

　　据介紹，經專傢評審、網上公示，江囌絲鄉智能設備有限公司申報的電子商標等64件工業設計產品、江囌大壆工業設計中心申報的傢用全自動煎藥機等26件工業設計創意作品入圍作品在909件參賽產品(作品)中脫穎而出，成功入圍大賽終評。

　　組委會負責人表示，從參賽作品的數量和質量來看，本屆設計大賽都達到了較高水平，達到了宣傳工業設計、推進產壆研互動、營造良好氛圍的預期目標。据悉，入圍的90件工業設計產品(作品)將於6月中旬參與大賽終評並於6月19-21日在江囌崑山國際會展中心集中展示。屆時,PET包裝盒，將根据現場評審和參賽單位答辯得分，評出本屆大賽的金、銀、銅獎。

It flipped into the trench and pinned the men.Dead is the driver of the truck, Ramesh Ramrattan, 44, also known as ‘Fenton,’ of 38 Church Street, Friendship, East Bank Demerara.In a serious condition at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) is Imran Hassan, 26, a porter of the company and of 80 BB, Eccles, East Bank Demerara.The accident occurred at approximately 10:30hrs yesterday, and the men were pinned for two hours under the truck.Ramrattan died while waiting to be pulled out of the vehicle; and, according to Imran Hassan’s father, Naseer Hassan, his son managed to survive because he tried to jump out of the truck when the bridge collapsed.Speaking with this newspaper, the injured Imran Hassan said that at first he was hesitant to jump from the vehicle when it began to topple.“I don’t know to swim and I see that I had to jump in a trench, but ah mek up meh mind and jump.”Hassan, who endured some two hours of excruciating pain, called his sister while he was trapped inside the vehicle and informed her of the accident.This newspaper learnt that Hassan begged for his father to go to the scene. “If I gat to dead, at least ah want meh father with me.”The skin on Hassan’s right arm was burnt when one of the rescuers used a cutting torch to free him from the wrecked cab.
